Emergency vehicle operations training (often called EVOS or EVOC) is usually required before you drive an ambulance or fire apparatus. Unlike AHA cards, there is no single national expiration rule: your agency, insurer or state decides how often you refresh it and what else is reviewed, such as your driving record.
What to track
- The course name and provider (for example, a vendor EVOS course or an agency EVOC program)
- The completion date and any refresher interval your agency sets
- Apparatus-specific sign-offs and driver/operator competencies
- Any annual driving-record or competency review your agency requires
Set your own interval
Because the refresh interval is your agency's rule, add EVOS/EVOC with the expiration date your agency gives you. Med-Cert Pro then shows its status and reminds you before it lapses. Agencies can add EVOC to role templates such as EMT, Paramedic and Fire Driver/Operator.
How Med-Cert Pro helps
- Store the card or certificate once, with the expiration date read from the document by on-device scanning.
- See the credential move from Active to Expiring Soon, Critical and Expired, so nothing surprises you on shift.
- Get a reminder before the window closes, and mark a renewal In Progress while you finish it.
- Share a time-limited link or QR packet with an employer instead of emailing photos of your card.
- Your whole professional wallet is $24.99 per year, and agency-sponsored seats cost you nothing.
