Can deleted information remain in recovery backups?

Restricted recovery copies can retain information separately from the active service. Backup copies have separate retention arrangements described in the Data Retention and Deletion policy, and restoration must honor prior deletion requests before information becomes accessible. A legal or financial exception does not justify keeping a full hidden copy of deleted credential documents. Contact the Privacy Office with questions about a deletion request.
